Lōkahi FCU’s EcoSmart Appliance Loan can be used to finance the purchase and installation of a wide range of HVAC systems and energy-efficient appliances that support a more sustainable and cost-effective home.

Eligible HVAC upgrades include systems that improve indoor air quality, temperature control, and energy efficiency:

  • Central Air Conditioners
  • Split System Air Conditioners
  • Window & Wall-Mounted Air Conditioners
  • Ductless Mini-Split Systems
  • Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners
  • Boilers & Central Heating Systems
  • Floor Heating Systems
  • Furnaces
  • Heat Pumps

Energy-Efficient Appliances

Appliances must be designed to reduce energy or water consumption and may include:

  • Refrigerators & Freezers
  • Washers & Dryers
  • Dishwashers
  • Induction Cooktops & Ranges
  • Smart Thermostats
  • Air Purifiers & Dehumidifiers
  • Ventilation Fans
  • LED Lighting
  • Composting & Recycling Systems
  • Water-Saving Fixtures (e.g., low-flow toilets, shower heads, faucets)
  • Greywater & Rainwater Harvesting Systems
  • Solar-Powered Appliances (e.g., water heaters, ovens, chargers)

For guidance on selecting qualifying products, members are encouraged to explore trusted resources such as:

EcoSmart Appliance Loan must be used exclusively for financing the purchase of qualifying products and minor home improvements associated with the installation of these products. Must provide valid invoice or statement for purchase and/or installation within 6 months of the application date. Loan amount cannot exceed the contracted amount for HVAC system or eligible product. 

Payment Example: For a 12-month term and a loan amount of $5,000 at 7.00% APR, the monthly payment will be $433.55. For a 24-month term with a loan amount of $10,000.00 at 7.25% APR, the monthly payment will be $448.77.
