Lōkahi Federal Credit Union held a Foodbank Fundraiser and Food Drive from August 1, 2022 through September 30, 2022. This is the third consecutive annual fundraiser that Lōkahi FCU has participated in with the Hawaii Credit Union Coalition. The greatest reason that Lōkahi FCU continues to support this fundraiser is because of how Hawai’i Foodbank’s mission (“Nourish our ‘ohana”) resonates with Lōkahi FCU’s Core Values of Caring, Integrity, and Commitment.

Lōkahi Federal Credit Union was recognized on Hawaii Business Magazine's Best Places to Work list for a fourth consecutive year. According to HBM, only 76 organizations made it to the 2023 list with an average employee engagement of 90%. In comparison, the national average is 23%. The ranking was determined through a study HBM conducted in partnership with Workforce Research Group. The final score for each organization was comprised of 80% employee responses and 20% representative responses.

Lōkahi Federal Credit Union recently held a fundraiser to benefit the Kapi'olani Children's Miracle Network (CMN). Year after year, Lōkahi FCU continues to support CMN and their mission to save and improve the lives of children and their families. CMN's cause perfectly aligns with Lōkahi FCU's core values of caring, integrity, and commitment.

Lōkahi Federal Credit Union recently concluded its Hawai'i Foodbank fundraiser with a total donation of $7,300. The fundraiser ran from August 1, 2023, through September 30, 2023, with a goal of $3,000. What began as a typical annual fundraiser for the Hawai'i Foodbank took a turn in its second week when the Maui wildfire disasters hit. Donors could support wildfire relief by designating their contribution to the Maui Food Bank. In light of the tragedies, Lōkahi FCU's members, staff, and community rallied together and helped surpass the original fundraiser goal.

Lōkahi Federal Credit Union provided 230 IDs at its first Keiki and Kupuna ID service since 2019. The service was offered for free to the public during the Celebrate Safe Communities event at Pearlridge Center on March 4th, 2023. Twenty Lōkahi FCU staff and family volunteers took shifts working the booth, which was located in the Mauka wing first floor, right under the Lōkahi FCU Pearlridge Branch.

Lōkahi Federal Credit Union is proud to support the Hawai`i HomeOwnership Center, which has been chosen as a recipient of a 2023 Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) of Des Moines Member Impact Fund grant. This grant provided a match to supplement Lōkahi FCU’s donation. In total, the Hawai`i HomeOwnership Center received $10,000 that will further their ability to serve local affordable housing and community development needs.

Lōkahi Federal Credit Union provided 83 Keiki IDs at the 17th Annual Wai'anae Coast Keiki Spring Fest on Saturday, April 29th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This event was held at Kamehameha School’s Community Learning Center in Māʻili and brought families and community partners from all over to promote programs beneficial to children ages zero to five. A total of nine Lōkahi FCU staff volunteers gave their time and energy to the community.

On Sunday, April 24, 2022, a team of 10 Lōkahi Federal Credit Union staff and family members rolled up their sleeves and sifted sand for Sustainable Coastlines Hawai'i's Annual Earth Day Festival. More than 1,000 volunteers attended the festival which took place at Waimānalo Beach Park.

Lōkahi Federal Credit Union has awarded five $1,000 scholarships and one additional $500 gift for the 2022 College Scholarship Program. These deserving students were selected by the Scholarship Program Committee after a thorough review of their applications, transcripts, recommendations, and more.

The Lōkahi Federal Credit Union Core Values Champions Committee (CVCC) identifies DreamHouse ‘Ewa Beach as a unique public charter school that exemplifies the credit union’s core values of caring, integrity, and commitment. Lōkahi FCU is proud to have donated $5,000 towards their mission.
